Full disclosure: I picked these up after buying another branded pair which, when I got them, really didn't add up to much, very insubstantial material-wise. Rather than take the hit I returned them and, for the 6 quid difference, went for a pair of these and I'm very pleased I did.
These are great gloves, comfortable - durable - I don't know how well they'd hold up as motorbike gloves, but for cycling, paint-balling, martial arts stuff they should do fine. The wrist strap gives good support and the extra tag on the back of the hand means you can adjust the width fitting so they fit just-so.
Very nice design, they feel good wearing them. Definitely go for the next size up: whatever size the chart says, add the next size to it.
The only concern I found when purchasing - when you select XXL you get a warning that third party sellers may require additional costs: I'm a UK resident, I honestly don't know how this is supposed to work or for that matter what these additional costs may or may not have been, the literature isn't helpful at all it doesn't' tell you what those costs may be - you're left with no clue and it kind of makes you anxious that perhaps you're going to get some outrageous import tax added at some point...
It doesn't seem to happen on regular sizes but be aware, if you're a UK buyer and you go XXL this may be a thing. It also takes longer for the goods to arrive, they've obviously got to be shipped from somewhere - not sure where. As it turned out there wasn't any additional charges - you'll just have to read the literature that comes up and try and make heads or tails of it. It's definitely something to look out for when purchasing, I've never knowingly run into that before. It gives you pause.
Other than that though really happy with the purchase, these are everything I was hoping the previous pair I had bought would have been.
