- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2023Use it to control and aerator pump on my fishpond. Turns on every two hours for half an hour during the day. Hopefully this will help the battery recharge from the solar cell. Instructions great on how to set up but could give instructions on how to remove the timer unit from the back box. The connectors on the timer are blades that push in to connectors in the mounting box so the timer can be removed without disconnecting any wires. Not knowing this laid caution to the wind hoping not to break it as it requires some force to separate them.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2023I feel a bit mean complaining when something does the job as advertised and doesn't break the bank. However, there are shortcomings that may be problematic for some.
The first problem I found was when installing the timer. The instructions are detailed on the operation of the switch, but very little about the dangerous bit - screwing in the wires. Anyway, I managed to screw in the hot wires without burning down the house. I tested by pressing the manual button and the red light switched on and I had a tank of hot water within the hour.
The next problem was the tiny unlit LED screen. With the aid of a magnifying glass, I set up on and off times for each day of the week and twice on Saturday. The switch was on at 6 am this morning and I have hot water.
To sum up, I can live with the limitations given the price. Anyone with less-than-perfect eyesight and a dislike of fiddly buttons might want to look at alternatives.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2021Used for 2.7 kW water heater. Timer works well. Easy to use. Good value. Keeps settings during power cuts. The screen is a bit small. Needed a bit of adjusting to fit onto the wall socket. Would be better to be the same size as a standard wall switch socket with appropriate screw holes.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2020I love this programmer!
The programmer has worked flawlessly for several months. I use it to manage the power consumption of a 12v boat refrigerator. The programmer keeps accurate time and the 20 pairs of on / off cycles provided plenty of flexibility for control over a 24 hour period (repeated daily indefinitely).
It is easy to mount, install and operate with a 1 button manual override.
I've ordered two more for a couple of new projects I'll be implementing this summer.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 April 2019This is a nice little timer and easy to program.
I have a very simple central heating system and just needed a timer to replace my worn out analogue unit.
This does the job well and is better than my old analogue timer inasmuch as it allows programming across a 7 day period instead of just the analogue jobbie's 24 hours.
The unit is ''plug-in'' as you mount the base first, then, when your electrical connections are made, you simply plug the timer into the base.
The connections are each just large enough to accommodate 2 x 2.5mm conductors.
A bonus for programming is that the timer has a built in battery back up so it keeps its settings in the event of a power outage. Also, it means that you can simply unplug the timer from its base and programme it comfortably on your lap.
My only gripe is that it doesn't mount over or in, a standard UK outlet box.
I'm sure there'll be some sort of base or box that allows this but, I ordered in haste as I needed a new timer fast.
I got over my problem by mounting a blank plate over the outlet box then, mounted the timer onto the flush plate.
Not an ever-so-neat solution but for the price and effectiveness I can live with the appearance.
Overall....quite pleased.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 May 2021I wish I had read the reviews before buying this item as it was mentioned that is was non standard and difficult to fit. I need top and bottom 2.5 mm cable entries and it difficult to get both of them connected to the screw terminals at the bottom of the mounting box as the cables have to go through an opening nearly at the top of the mounting box. As it doesn't fit a standard backbox I had to make a small plinth to mount it on.
After all that it did not work and as I had enlarged and modified the cable entry port I could'nt return it. It went in the bin.( recycling bin of course) and I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.
