    The positives are that is quick to apply and in general appears to provide a good key. The suspended grain is small so less plaster is required (when compared to blue grit) to cover the primer.

    If plastering high suction backgrounds e.g. old lime plaster...bonding...or sand/cement without waterproofer in it then a coat of SBR mixed with water (4 water and 1 SBR) is essential before applying as this primer does not control suction it only provides a key.

    The smell is intoxicating...keep all windows open and wear a gas vapour respirator.
